Barbra and ME Foundation
My name is Jan Rybak, and I am the founder of the Barbra and Me Foundation.
Basia is my sister (twin) who dedicated her life to helping children. She passed away after a long battle with cancer (5 years and 23 surgeries). While in the hospital, she was a model for others in the fight against illness.
I dedicate this foundation to her as a thank you for her deeds and dedication to others, especially children. She was an inspiration to me to continue her work.
She always said that one should not give up, but continue to fight.
I have been an aircraft modeller for over 50 years.
While still in Poland, attending the aircraft modeling workshop, I was already helping novices in building models; I always wanted to expand this passion, which I also managed to do.
I have been living abroad for many years and from there I support activities in Poland.
I consider it to be a beautiful and uplifting activity.
Now I am passing these skills on to others.
I am an animal lover, so my goal is also to help animals in any way possible. Animals need our help because they cannot help themselves.
There are many poor families who barely make ends meet, there are many sick children whose parents are desperate because they can’t do anything, I believe that WE as inhabitants of this Earth owe it to them to offer help.
This applies to both people and animals.
We are all capable of great noble deeds to change the world.
